Pon Power AS Secures Contract with Østensjø Rederi AS

Pon Power AS has signed a contract for the delivery of main engines for a multi-purpose Ocean Energy Support Vessel (OESV) ordered by Østensjø Rederi from Astilleros Gondan. The vessel is 120 meters long and designed by Salt Ship Design.

Pon Power will supply 6x Cat 3512E variable speed generator sets with Cat SCR. These generator sets, with a power output of 1901 bkW, will, together with Ramme PM generators, the e-SEAMatic® BLUE energy- and PMS system from SEAM, ensure optimal efficiency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in all operational phases. Pon Power’s variable speed generator sets contributes to reduced fuel consumption, lower noise levels, longer intervals between overhauls, increased generator lifespan, and generally lower operational costs.
