Green Mountain and CTS Nordics have awarded Pon Power contracts for the delivery of module-based generator sets to secure Green Mountains’ two data centers in Oslo and Rjukan. The contract consists of nine power modules including generator sets from Caterpillar, with a total power output of 25 MVA. The modules are independent power stations that will supply emergency power to the data centers in the event of a power outage. Pon Power expects commissioning of the power stations in the autumn 2022.
This is an important contract for us, and we are proud that Green Mountain has chosen Pon Power as a partner and supplier of critical infrastructure. As a supplier of emergency power to data centers you need to provide high quality, well proven technical solutions, supreme uptime, and a competent service organisation able to respond on short notice in case of emergencies. The contract with Green Mountain and other large data centers in Scandinavia in recent years is a confirmation that Pon Power fully meets these strict requirements, says Claus F. Høyer, Managing Director of Pon Power.
Pon Power AS is Norway’s largest supplier of emergency power to data centers in Norway and together with our Dutch sister company Pon Power BV we are also one of the largest suppliers to the Swedish market. In the next few years, we aim to become a leading supplier of emergency power to data centers throughout the Nordic region.
